Our Printing Division had secured a prestigious and mammoth contract for the printing of ballot papers for Local Bodies General Election 2017 and this very challenging contract has been successfully completed in time for the smooth conduct of the above said election in Uttar Pradesh.
Out of the 75 districts in Uttar Pradesh, CBSL contract covered 63 districts involving the printing and supply of approximately 3.30 crore ballots and for the remaining 12 districts, the ballots were got printed from 4 Government Presses in U.P. It was indeed a very challenging job of printing ballots for nearly 13500 varieties, having different number of ballots, ranging from hundreds to a few lakh. The withdrawal date for nomination was 10-11-2017 and allocation of symbol to candidates was on 14-11-2017. The elections were conducted in three phases on 22nd, 26th and 29th of November, 2017.
For the first time, the ballots were printed with photographs of the candidates with their symbol after downloading from the website of State Election Commission(UP). The respective teams from the districts started arriving at our premises from 11-11-2017 onwards and the last team came on 25-11-2017. The whole work was completed well in time and the entire team left with the ballots on the pre-scheduled dates without any delay on our part.
Our IT team from our Peera Garhi office worked round the clock for downloading, cleaning, etc of Data from the portal of State Election Commission(UP) and converting it into PDF and getting the proof ready for printing.
In addition to the printing team at Anand Parbhat, man power was deployed from other CBSL Group verticals helped in successful execution of the project.
It was a unique experience where everybody contributed his maximum for the completion of job in time. In as much as the top management team was also present at the site through out to meticulously monitor, guide and take on the spot decision. With the utmost cooperation of one and all, we could accomplish this prestigious and mammoth contract very successfully well in time.
